The Magic Mango Tree

The Magic Mango Tree 🥭✨

A tale of kindness and sharing from Pakistan

In a small village near Multan, there lived a little boy named Hassan. Hassan's family was poor, but they had one treasure - an old mango tree in their backyard.

Every summer, the tree produced the sweetest, juiciest mangoes in all the land. The mangoes were so delicious that people came from far and wide just to taste them!

The Selfish Neighbor 😠

Hassan's neighbor, wealthy Mr. Karim, was jealous of the mango tree.

"Why should a poor family have such amazing mangoes?" he grumbled. "I'll buy that tree and keep all the mangoes for myself!"

Mr. Karim offered Hassan's family gold coins for the tree, but Hassan's wise grandmother said, "This tree is not for sale. It was planted by Hassan's great-grandfather. It belongs to everyone in the village."

Hassan's Promise 🤝

When mango season arrived, Hassan's grandmother said, "Hassan, take these mangoes and share them with everyone in the village - especially those who have less than us."

Hassan loaded his donkey cart with mangoes and went door to door, giving mangoes to families who couldn't afford to buy fruit.

The children danced with joy! "Thank you, Hassan! These are the best mangoes ever!"

The Magic Happens ✨

That night, something magical happened.

The old mango tree began to glow with a soft golden light. By morning, it had grown twice as tall and was covered with even more mangoes than before!

The village elder said, "The tree has rewarded Hassan's kindness. The more he gives, the more the tree will produce!"

The Jealous Neighbor Learns 📚

Mr. Karim saw this and realized his mistake. He came to Hassan's grandmother and apologized.

"I was wrong to be selfish," he said. "Please teach me how to share like Hassan."

From that day on, Mr. Karim became the village's biggest giver, and his own garden began to flourish like never before!

The Lesson 🌟

The magic wasn't in the tree - it was in giving and sharing!

When we share what we have:

  • ●Our blessings multiply
  • ●We make others happy
  • ●We become happier ourselves
  • ●We build a loving community

Questions to Think About:

  1. ●Why did the tree produce more mangoes?
  2. ●How can you share something this week?
  3. ●What made Hassan happy?
