The Helpful Parrot of Lahore

The Helpful Parrot of Lahore 🦜

A beautiful folk tale from the magical city of Lahore

Once upon a time, in the magnificent city of Lahore, there lived a bright green parrot named Mithu.

Mithu wasn't like other parrots. While his friends spent their days sitting in trees and eating seeds, Mithu loved to fly over the beautiful Badshahi Mosque and help people in need.

Mithu's Special Day ☀️

One sunny morning, during the busy Eid celebrations, a little girl named Fatima got separated from her family near the Lahore Fort.

Fatima looked around, but all she could see were thousands of people celebrating. Tears started rolling down her cheeks.

"Ammi! Abbu!" she cried, but her voice was lost in the joyful crowd.

A Friend in the Sky 🦜

High above, Mithu the parrot saw the crying little girl. His heart filled with concern.

"Don't cry, little one!" Mithu called out, swooping down. "I'll help you find your family!"

Fatima looked up in surprise. "You can talk?"

"Of course! I'm Mithu, the helpful parrot of Lahore! Tell me, what does your mother look like?"

The Search Begins 🔍

Fatima described her mother's beautiful green dupatta with golden embroidery. Mithu listened carefully.

"Stay right here," Mithu said. "I'll fly high and look for her!"

Up, up, up Mithu flew over the Badshahi Mosque's majestic domes. His sharp eyes scanned the crowd below.

Then he spotted it! A woman in a green dupatta with golden embroidery, looking frantically for someone!

The Happy Reunion 💕

Mithu quickly flew back to Fatima.

"I found her! Follow me!"

Mithu flew low, and Fatima ran after him through the crowd. People moved aside, smiling at the little girl chasing a bright green parrot.

"Fatima! My baby!" cried her mother when she saw her.

"Ammi! Mithu helped me find you!"

Fatima's mother looked up at the parrot with grateful tears. "Thank you, little parrot. You're an angel!"

The Lesson 🌟

From that day on, Mithu became famous throughout Lahore. People would say:

"If you ever get lost in Lahore, just look up! Mithu will find you!"

And Mithu learned the most important lesson of all:

"The greatest joy in life comes from helping others."

The End! 🎉
